Are there any mechanics I could talk to? Failing that, does anyone have any spare parts I could ask about?

If possible, I would also like to talk to people applying for chief of police.

Enough to create a small number of bugs, as well as something that could reasonably fool someone into thinking it's an explosive.

I don't intend to use them on any of the townspeople.

Thinkin' about doin' some surveillance on our "civil servants?"

Can't really help ya there yet, but I've been plannin' on investigatin' downtown for an electronics store'a some kind. Could prolly cannibalize some radios or TVs for'a right parts.

As far as explosives ... I deal in'a real deal, so I guess I could figure out a way to make a prop explosive, if that's what ya need.

With their due permission.

[Not really.]

I've got a small amount of experience, so I'll do the same. I'll also reimburse you for any materials you may need in creating the prop.

Sounds fair.

Lesse, it's'a Fifties, so I figure'a most recognizable explosive'd be sticks'a dynamite or TNT. Fakin' a bundle'a dynamite'd probably'a better bet.

Yeah, I can whip up a prop'a that easy.

[Kiritsugu nods. Though he's very acquainted with explosives, he's not particularly good at making them, so he's glad he asked for help.]

Thank you. I appreciate it.

Kiritsugu.

No problem. I'm Balin Wilbur, Sergeant First Class.

Uh ... You're Japanese, yeah? Is Kitsurigu your first or last name?

[He's going to wind up asking this with every Japanese person he meets.]

And—when I get'is prop finished, where am I bringin' it?

First.

I'll meet you at the electronics store. It'd be best if we could package it so it isn't seen. Is this time tomorrow okay with you?

Ahright ... Yeah, that'll work.

[At this part, he sounds a little embarrassed.]

Just, you'll need'a bring'a vehicle with'a space for it; my household ain't gotta car. The "wife" traded it in for her horse from back home.

[ Mechanics. A sudden pain in her heart as she thinks of Archer. ]

You can speak to the drone man at my house if you want. [ She's not going to bother to state that his name was Archer. ]

tell me if this is metagaming?

Archer.

[Damn it, Kiri. Stop remembering conversations from a month ago.]

[Still, Rin did mention he lived in her house, and referred to the Servant as 'him'. Coupled with the fact that Kiritsugu's never heard of a heroic spirit under 18 (Gil doesn't count), he figures that he must have been assigned the father position... Sorry, Rin, but Kiri's not the type to forget any sort of information related to Servants.]

Thank you. I hope you won't mind if I visit later.

[Unfortunately, he still has no idea who Archer is.]

... Yes, Archer.

[ Her voice almost drops the moment he calls her out with that. She doesn't mind him visiting, after all he was Shirou's father, but knowing that the man was Archer.. ]

He is an excellent mechanic and.. there's several tools and parts here. You are welcomed to help yourself to them as I have no need for that kind of clutter around my house.

[He nods. He's reminded of the average magus' tendency to avoid technology, but now isn't the time to mention that.]

I'll ask him for help. Did he also have that sort of experience in our world?

[Kiritsugu actually doesn't have anything against Servants if they're droned. Not the same person, so why should he hold their actions against them?]

No, not quite. He was adept at creating weapons. His reality marble was impressive when you really think about it.

[ A sigh. ]

He reminds me a lot about Shirou naturally.

I have considered the thought of applying. What do you want to talk about?

Date: 2011-08-11 03:25 am (UTC)
From: [identity profile] maguskiller.livejournal.com
I want to keep track on everyone who does so.

I still don't know if everyone who assumes the post becomes a drone, so I will only have the opportunity to ask before someone takes it. Otherwise, we'll have little to gain from it.

So you intend to make a head count then. I doubt that will go well enough.

Still, I suppose I cannot fault you for that logic and worry. However the best way to get results is to get involved yourself as I had found out in many occasions.
