[Unfortunately, Kiritsugu was one of the residents who went through a complete droning. He's unable to remember any of his history with anyone from his world but Illya. Subsequently, he's unable to explain any of the behavior the other residents are displaying, or why he feels way more tired than any 29-year-old should. All of it has been replaced with memories of a life far happier than his original one .]
[Then again, it wouldn't be Kiritsugu if he didn't account for this eventuality. Having already been alerted that people were droned from time to time, he wrote down a brief history of the past few months, his actual family, and general pieces of information about himself, all hidden in one of his replacement coat's pockets. Cliche, perhaps, but Kiri doesn't really care. Naturally, the letter he received with general information about this place was included as well.]
[Of course, there was no way to ensure his drone self would believe his past self. As things stand, it's his word against itself. Even if he included pieces of his history no one else would know, it would be futile after his memories were replaced. Additionally, putting an object somewhere no one else could reach and mentioning it in the letter would also be useless, as Kiritsugu's new memories could account for him placing it there for a completely different purpose.]
[This makes it impossible for him to verify the letter, but the doubt is all he needs. As long as his nature doesn't change, Kiritsugu knew that he would investigate this, even if he didn't actually believe it. For now, he decides to keep all this in mind as he goes out. He wants to be home early, considering what today is.]

[Unfortunately, Kiritsugu did not include anything about Rin in the letter. From what he heard of Shirou, he knew his son trusted her, so there was no need to take such drastic precautions.]

He's doing well! Not fond of fireworks, but he's enjoying the day at home with mother.
